The Workflow Webinar was a big success. The scheduled 60 minute session actually ended up going for 2 hours and outside of one person who didn't like the limitations with the workflow tool in working with the Oracle RDMBS, all comments were positive. At the request of this user community, the webinar was put by Pete Koltis of Aplicor. The entire session was focused on modifying the packaged workflows in some very creative ways. We plan on developing some suggestions for an advanced workflow webinar and asking Pete to perform another instructional lesson.
LONDON USER GROUP MEETING
We've gotten a request to assemble another London user group meeting. I believe the last London get-together, which was also the first meeting, had fairly low attendance, however, extremely high spirits consumption. I've been told that a few of the attendees continue to network which of course is an outstanding by-product of these events. If you are interested in organizing or attending a London user group meeting, please let us know using the Contact Us Form and we'll pass along the information.
LOS ANGELES USER GROUP MEETING
We had an informative and enjoyable time at the Los Angeles user group meeting. The agenda included three break-out sessions on implementation best practices, system administration and product evolution. Chuck Schaeffer gave us a good vision and roadmap for what to expect over the next 12, 24 and 36 month horizons. The dinner and drinks following the meeting were a great time for all. We only had 21 attendees, however, everyone thought it was worthwhile so we'll probably be planning another event in the next quarter or two.
APLICOR CUSTOMER ADVISORY PANEL (CAP)
The next CAP meeting will be held at the Boca Raton Resort in January 2008. The specific dates have not yet been finalized. If you missed the 2007 meeting recap, reference the headline article link on the home page of this site.
APLICOR PARTNER ADVISORY COUNCIL (PAC)
The week after the January 2008 CAP will be the follow-on Partner Advisory Council (PAC) meeting also at the Boca Raton Resort. Aplicor claims its PAC members are part of its 'strategy council', influential in suggesting and confirming 'directional correctness' and tend to offer more constructive criticism and feedback than other venues. I've only every spoken to one PAC member about these meetings and while he confirmed the agenda topics for their quarterly conference calls and annual get-together, he seemed more enamored with the second day deep sea fishing trip than the content of the 'strategy council' meetings.
